Automating Hajj and Umrah operational Plans, 2030 Vision

Project Description

Vision 2030 targeting 15 million Umrah visitors annually by 2020 and 30 million by 2030, furthermore, targeting around 4.4 million Pilgrimage by the year of 2030. MASARAT MISR was assigned to build a comprehensive macroscopic transportation planning model for each stage of Hajj and Ummrah and develop a micro-simulation model to evaluate road network performance under several traffic scenarios. Also, MASARAT MISR assessed different operation plans for public transportation in term of the number of buses, buses scheduling, and origin to destination routing scenarios.
