Project Description

An ITS system uses modern control and communications technology to maximise transportation productivity, mobility, efficiency, and safety with a reduction in energy when moving people and goods throughout the network. The tasks performed for the development of an efficient ITS system included:

• Traffic analysis and level of service analysis
• Geometric analysis of highways and identifying critical elements
• Road evaluation criteria and critical elements
• Functionality allocation on critical elements and placement criteria
